Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Design, Design, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience within Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), planning, or design industry.
  • Experience coordinating RFQs, RFPs, or proposal submissions within an AEC environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written, editorial, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail (including spelling and grammar).
  • Strong graphic communication skills with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Planning, Engineering, or Urban Design firms.
  • Experience preparing award submissions, conference proposals, publications, or media materials.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing databases.
  • Interest in climate resilience, public space, parks, infrastructure, urban design and/or environmental planning.
  • Experience coordinating photography and visual storytelling.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Characteristics:

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is naturally curious about cities, landscapes, and the built environment.
  • Enjoys writing and translating technical work into compelling stories.
  • Can balance multiple deadlines without losing attention to detail.
  • Builds relationships easily across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Is proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced design studio.

Competitive benefits package including health, dental, life, long-term disability, 401K, profit sharing, performance-based bonus. SWA is a 100% Employee owned company.
