Job Description

We are seeking a Material Handler and Forklift Operator to join our seasonal team. This role involves managing warehouse inventory, operating forklifts, and providing customer support at the counter in a well-organized facility.

In this position, you will handle materials by operating forklifts and hydraulic jack lifts, unload trucks, organize inventory, and assist customers at the counter. The role is based in Ft. Worth, TX, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This opportunity allows you to demonstrate your material handling and customer service skills with potential for long-term employment.

• PAY RATE: $19 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operate powered equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jack lifts to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Unload trucks and organize warehouse inventory to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Assist customers and handle counter duties, providing strong customer service support.
• Receive goods, verify items against shipment records, and inspect condition of materials and products.
• Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record received and shipped items using written and computerized documentation.
• Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas as needed.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related warehouse or forklift operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED - Required.
• Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts and hydraulic jack lifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Flexibility to split time between warehouse and counter duties.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical ability.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record may be required.
