JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Initiative on Legal Institutions and Democracy (ILIAD) in the McCourtney Institute is seeking a research assistant to work on topics related to the politics of law, courts, and rights. The research assistant will work on a variety of data collection, visualization, and analysis tasks. Applicants should ideally have some experience with data analysis in R and an interest in learning how to conduct social scientific research.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
