Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Wine Manager t o join our leadership team.

This is a salaried position with additional commission based on wine sales, creating an opportunity to increase earnings while growing and developing the restaurant’s wine program.

This is a hands-on management position with a strong presence on the floor and will primarily consist of evening and weekend services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and continuously develop the restaurant’s wine program.
• Drive wine sales through guest engagement and staff education.
• Manage wine inventory, ordering, receiving, and organization.
• Maintain relationships with wine vendors and distributors.
• Monitor wine costs, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Assist guests with wine selections and pairings.
• Conduct wine training and tastings for the service team.
• Maintain high standards of wine service and presentation.
• Work closely with the culinary and management teams.
• Support daily restaurant operations and overall service when needed.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• 3+ years of restaurant experience with a strong wine program.
• Fine-dining experience preferred.
• Excellent domestic and international wine knowledge.
• Wine certification or formal education preferred, but not required.
• Experience with POS and inventory systems.
• Knowledge of wine purchasing, inventory, and cost control.
• Strong sales skills and ability to engage with guests.
• Ability to train, motivate, and develop staff.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented mentality.
